Mitigating ADHD by Strengthening Emotion Regulation

Purpose of the study

The goal of the MASTER study is to lower the chances of developing severe ADHD symptoms by offering an early intervention aimed at decreasing emotion regulation problems in young children. To do this we developed Parent-Child Psychomotoric Therapy (PC-PMT), of which the effectiveness will be tested.

Participants

134 children between 2 – 3.5 years old with emotion regulation problems and elevated likelihood for developing ADHD will participate in this study together with a parent. At least one of the biological parents of the child has an ADHD diagnosis.
