Dissertation Julian Burger

Julian defended his PhD thesis “The Future of Case Formulation in Clinical Psychology: Advancements in Network Modeling and Simulation-based Science” on Dec 11th. In his PhD research, Julian has developed new ways of integrating clinical expertise and theory with statistical network models. He also proposed a framework for constructing simulation-based inference using computational models of case formulations, and applied the methods across a broad range of psychopathology, including generalized anxiety disorder, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorder, and panic disorder. Julian has now started his postdoc at Yale University, in Yale’s LGBTQ Mental Health Initiative where he will continue his work on case formulations for sexual and gender minority individuals.

Congratulations Julian!
