The development of new interventions

The University Center Psychiatry does scientific research on better treatment methods under the supervision of leading clincial researchers. We use diverse innovative methods and instruments to give patients more insight into their complaints and to evaluate the results of treatments. This enables the UCP to provide qualitatively good care according to the most recent scientific insights. Scientific research at the UCP aims to improve treatments more effective, to intervene early in order to prevent deterioration, and to tailor treatments more to the individual patient. For this purpose, we do research in the general population, in patients, and in addition we do research on (fundamental) questions that are relevant to our aims.

Here you can read more about research of the UCP and here you can find the ongoing and finished research projects that made use of iLab facilities.
